Who We Are

Mission Statement

The Earlham Church of Christ exists to connect people to Jesus, by developing and equipping disciples, to love and serve people in their community, all to reach the world.

Our Vision

Our vision is to be a thriving, Christ-centered community that transforms lives and impacts Earlham and beyond with God’s love. We aspire to be a beacon of hope, welcoming people to experience the life-changing power of Jesus, grow in their faith, and live out their purpose. Through intentional discipleship, compassionate outreach, and empowering leadership, we seek to inspire generations to follow Jesus and make a lasting impact on our world.

Our Beliefs

God is the creator of all things. He is above all things and is involved in His creation. (Gen 1:1) He desires to restore His relationship with His creation. (Gen 1:1; Acts 17:24-28; Col 1:15-16)

Jesus Christ is God’s Son, as well as God in the flesh, who came down to earth to save all people from their sins. (Matthew 3:17) Jesus died on the cross and rose from the dead in three days. (Matthew 28:1-10)

The Holy Spirit is God who made His dwelling within the hearts of His people. And when called upon, the Holy Spirit encourages, guides, comforts, and transforms us to be like Jesus. (John 14:15-21, 25-26; Rom 8:10-14; 1 Cor 3:16; Rev 1:10)

When those who believe in Jesus confess their sins, repent, and proclaim that Jesus is the Lord of their lives, they are then baptized for the remission of their sins in order to bridge the gap between them and God receiving the gift of eternal salvation. (Acts 8:36-40)

The Word of God is the Bible, sixty-six books breathed out by God and given to us as the final authority for faith and life. It's not just ancient history, it's alive and active, speaking directly into our lives today, showing us who God is and who we're called to be. 2 Timothy 3:16-17, Hebrews 4:12, John 1:1

The Church is the body of Christ, founded on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2) and consisting of all Christians everywhere. (Matt18:20; Acts 2:41-42, 2:47; 1 Cor 5:4)
