This week we have some special guests in the house leading us in worship, Scott and RaeAnn Pape have joined us from Ankeny, and Jorge is in the house not only on the drums, but also to update us on what is happening in Venezuela. Pastor Tom closes out the series, "Known: A Study of 1st John" with a sermon entitled "This Is The Victory".

A couple of things to note, First, the Experiencing God study has been moved from Monday night to Tuesday night. It will kick of THIS Tuesday at 6:00 here at the church. Make sure to come and be prepared to experience God in a new way.

And that's because FORGED, our new Men's Ministry launches a week from tomorrow. Monday October 12th, there is a launch event at The Buse's house. Men of ECC, I challenge you to do what you can to be there for a night of food and fellowship, and even more important, bring someone with you! This will be an excellent way to introduce people to our community.  Stuart Buse and Dan Rodgers will be leading Forged for the coming year, and I couldn't be more excited to be part of what this ministry does for this community! 

But the night before that, we have Flannel and Fellowship NEXT SUNDAY out at Central Iowa Bible Camp! 4:00 - 7:30pm.  We will be grilling hamburgers, hot dogs and brats.  Bring a side or a dessert to share. We will end the evening with a time of worship! I look forward to seeing you all there! 

This is an incredibly exciting time at ECC and there is a lot going on! Get plugged in somewhere! Remember, Find Community, Follow Jesus!

If you have children, we have nursery available for children birth - 3 years of age. The nursery is located off of the Foyer. We also have Children's Church. Students 4 years old - 4th grade will be dismissed for Children's Church before the sermon. The classroom is through the NW sanctuary doors.

Communion, we partake in this as a weekly reminder of the sacrifice that Jesus Christ made for use n the cross. If you are a believer, we invite you to join us during this time. You may take the emblems as they're passed or in your own time.

Offering, we use the tithes and offering that the Lord blesses us with to support the work of our local church and worldwide missions. There is a drop box in the back as you come in. If you are a guest we do not want you to feel obligated to give. If that is something the Lord has laid on your heart the gift is welcome. You can give when the offering plate is passed or at the link below.
